Located in the Heart of the Prairies
Englefeld, Saskatchewan, is located on the prairies in central Canada. Humboldt is the closest city, only 20 minutes away. Saskatoon is only 90 minutes away and Regina is only 120 minutes away. Sasktoon and Regina are the two largest cities in the province of Saskatchewan.
Our Community
Englefeld lies in the heart of the Canadian prairies. We are an agricultural based community with industries that serve local and international markets. We have easy access to a wide range of lakes and provincial parks. The two largest cities in the province are close at hand. We have a small village with great community spirit and lots to offer – check us out. “A place to call home”
Community Growth
With the expanding economy, Englefeld has added new streets and infracture to meet the demands of growth. In 2008 one new street almost filled up. In 2010, 16 new lots were added to the North on 3rd Ave East connecting to 4th Street North.
In 2010 the Village along with support from the Province of Saskatchewan and the Govt. of Canada installed a new Reverse Osmosis water treatment plant which serves RO water to the whole village. No more hard water!
Lot sizes are 88' x 222' and 88' x 120'. Click our map to view available lots. (yellow=residental lots, orange=commercial lots)
Lots are starting at $3500.00. Contact Village office for information.

The History of Hog Fest
The Hog Fest attracted large crowds and on average around 800 plates are served. The ball tournament finished on Saturday while the hogs are roasting. The town park was busy with activities for the kids while the rink had something of interest for everyone. A dance with beer gardens followed the supper and midnight lunch was provided. Sunday morning a pancake breakfast was available in the school gym. The efforts and support of the whole community helped to make the Hog Fest an annual success for 50 years but everything must come to an end. Sadly the last Hog Fest was celebrated in 2023.

Englefeld's Mini Telemiracles
The first Mini Telemiracle was held in the Englefeld Hotel bar in 1988, it was the brainchild of Tom Vidak Tom Vidak and Tom Morton, the owner of the hotel, with input from Danny Berting. It started with the idea of doing a fundraiser for Saskatchewan's Kinsmen Telemiracle by having the Vidak band do a jam session in the bar and have others join. It was a snowy, stormy February Sunday in 1988 when the event took place, but they managed to raise just over $1200. The event continued each year and grew as more local entertainers joined. As it grew, so did the amount of money that was raised for Telemiracle each year. By 1998, the tenth year, $21,485.15 was raised. In 2000, the event moved to the bar in the Lazy Acres Motel which could accommodate a larger crowd. Over the years, such famous celebrities as Bobby Curtola, Valdi and John Allen Cameron have come to entertain and help with the event. In 2002 the Mini-Telemiracle moved to the school gym, where it draws even bigger crowds who come for the fun of the auctions, the entertainment, and the great meal. Good, clean family fun. For more information about the Mini Telemiracle, read an article written by Dave Yanko in 1998 called "Where Pigs Fly".
